Return to the pool in Pool Party: Part 2

I built this deck mostly because I wanted a deck with big, fun monsters. There's nothing more satisfying than getting a bunch of 8-power minions out there smashing up your opponent's stuff. Just wrecking their lands and everything they love.

So how do we survive long enough to summon those big minions? The answer is simple: Sharks. Lots of sharks. [[Giant Shark]]s to be precise.

The way you play the deck is to try to mulligan for a [[Mix Aqua]] and either a [[Diluvian Kraken]] or [[Great Old One]]. No other spell is worth holding onto in your opening hand except your [[Aquamarine Core]]. For sites, the only thing you're looking for are the two [[Island Leviathan]]s. Mulligan away all other sites.

Keep using the Seer's start of turn ability on your atlas until you have both of your [[Island Leviathan]]s out. Then start digging through your spellbook for your big hitters. Those are the way you'll actually win games. Obviously use your river genesis triggers on digging through your spellbook for those big guys as well.

All the while, you'll hopefully want to draw and play all of your [[Font of Life]] right when you need them. And make sure to get a [[Giant Shark]] out into play as soon as you can. Then just sit there and make your opponent deal with it. Every turn you stall them as they figure out how to handle the shark is another turn you have to get your Leviathans (which should all be on the front row so you can alpha strike with both of them as soon as you hit 8 water affinity) and massive tentacled monsters. Make sure to use [[Riptide]] to drag your opponent into the pool and anger the shark.

Fun tips: cast Drown on your own Kraken to push it underwater so it can pop up immediately and hit everything nearby! If you draw the Pnakotic Manuscript, you can give it to a swarm of frogs to draw a bunch of cards, or you can give it to a turtle (or hydra if you're desperate) to draw a card every turn. Lastly, just hold on to an [[Ice Lance]] or, even better, a [[Rolling Boulder]] to end the game with. Neither is likely worth playing until your opponent is on death's door unless you have multiple copies clogging your hand.

So, is any of this good? Not especially. But is it fun. Do you get to have sharks, kraken, hydra, and elder gods out on the battlefield? When the stars align, yes.
