The core strategy of this deck is to disrupt and outvalue your opponent over the course of a mid-length game, and this is done in three ways:

Hand Attack: One of the core packages of this list is [[Lookout]] and [[Swiven Scout]]. In addition to being able to play around your opponents' actions before they are ever taken, these cards also enable precise use of [[Hyter Sprites]] and [[Feast for Crows]] to delay and dismantle your opponents' hand and deck.
On-Board Disruption: A low mana curve that tops off at 4 allows for the inclusion of viable threats such as [[Boudicca]], [[Sir Lamorak]], [[The Great Famine]], and [[Infiltrate]]- the latter of which allow for the removal or theft of large threats from your opponent, while lowering the number of sites needed for the deck to function. This means you can start using your [[Witch]]'s ability to further interfere with your opponent's game plan by taxing their hand, shrinking their avatar, or just draining them while advancing your board strategy.
Push: Occupying your opponents' back row with [[Summoning Sphere]], buffing your minions with [[Torshammar Trinket]] (which pairs nicely with [[Ring of Morrigan]]), gaining multiple bodies off of a single card with [[Highland Falconer]], and using [[Redcap Powries]] to push damage quickly are all part of how this deck manages its offense. If Witch can drain the opponent down but a minion cannot reach their avatar- such as in control matchups, [[Sir Lamorak]], [[Blink]], [[Blaze]], [[Heat Ray]], and even [[Vesuvius]] can all be used as ways to push damage through for a win.

Note: This deck originally started as a control list that I've been trying to push into being faster and more tempo-focused. Its start in control is still visible, though, through pieces such as [[Amulet of Niniane]], [[Immolation]], and [[Perilous Bridge]]. In each of these cases, I've decided that the local decks I play against warrant their inclusion, though they remain as possible cuts for more aggressive cards.

7/10/25: The changes to the core rules announced today slightly nerf [[Morgana le Fay]], and much more seriously [[Free City]]. While Morgana is staying in this deck, the Free Cities need some testing with the current rules regarding striking sites to determine if they are still useful tech pieces here.

GOTHIC UPDATE 12/6/25: Gothic is bringing with it a lot of fantastic new cards. [[Searing Truth]] is probably the addition I am most excited for, given that it functions as both a 3-mana draw 2 that rarely burns you for more than 3, as well as a direct-damage finisher that can kill your opponent at any range or location. In addition, [[Broomstick Witch]] functions almost identically as [[Palliburrie Bats]] with the added benefit of acting as a spellcaster. The one downside of this replacement is that [[Highland Falconer]] is now restricted to only tutoring [[Sacred Scarabs]], however, Scarabs is still a great burn minion, and a 4th one has been added to compensate. On the flip side, more spellcasters in the deck also allow for the exploration of new synergies, such as [[Shackled Demon]], the inclusion of which also synergizes with [[Witching Hour]] as a burst-down tool. Speaking of evil minions, the playset of [[Summoning Sphere]] has also been finished due to how well it works with [[Corrupter Freak]].

Other more minor additions to the deck include [[Sphere of Animosity]], [[The Malleus Maleficarum]], two [[Sturmgeist]]s, and some new sites.

Of course, it should be noted that this is only a rough update and some cards need to be trimmed, in addition to actual playtesting.
