The aim of this deck is to get a lot of sites in play quickly to restrict your opponent’s development. Box them in with Landmass, Skeleton Mage + Landmass, Sow, and then Raze what they have left. We want to keep them off of higher cost cards while we have access to ours.

Imperial Road is mostly a way to punish Pathfinder. But since our top end is better than most decks, even letting them get an extra land in play early doesn’t support them as much as it does us. And extra mana can also get them to play into our Earthquakes and Poison Novas.

Lots of graveyard hate to deal with Archi and Deathspeaker, since those decks punish durdly ones like this by out durdling them. Against Archi, if we can keep them off 8 mana and passively countering their Craterizes, we should be doing alright.
