My deck, and its evolution for the Alchemy Kit streaming series. The Alchemy Kit is perfect for new players, with a playmat, precon set, and a box of AL and Beta. Escalation is an awesome way to get value out of the bundle.

--Week 1--

Decided to go Geomancer precon splashed with mono-Air. Splashing Geomancer is tricky and frustrating, so I didn't want to go over 1-threshold. Air was my best bet. Could also get away with Fire, but BORING.

--Week 2--

Decided to stick with the "buff my mortals" theme, leaving King and House Arn Bannermen in. Beefed up my 3-cost slot. Dropped Land Surveyors because it's just weird with Geomancer and the card ultimately is worse by the math. Added a Roaming Monster and another Grapple Shot. I need to see at least one Grapple Shot to win here, probably.

Plan is to stabilize through turn 5, and then drop double 3's a few turns in a row to convert Geomancer's card advantage into board presence. Hopefully seal the game with Highland Clansmen/Amazon Warriors, particularly if paired with King. Ending the game is hard, probably going to be awful. Common Sense + Lightning Bolt?

--Week 3--

Very close game with the deck working as intended; just shy of the killing blow! As expected, ending the game was very hard, with an early common sense spent on bury instead of lightning bolt. Picked up a lot of tools with this 6/6 Beta/Arthurian pack opening. Finished out the playset of Amazon Warriors and added Daperyll Vampire to the mix. They're already supported by Grapple Shot but I'm also adding 2x Duel and 1x Grim Guisarme to have big payoffs. Added another Lightning Bolt for additional finishers alongside Duel, up to 3x Bury now, and also added 2x Power of Flight for less predictable lines and draw through to my higher impact cards. Bosk Troll squeaked in over Cave Trolls, too, to have more presence in the 4-resource and 5-resource turns.

Only site change was adding 1x Vantage Hills over Bedrock. That takes me to 3x Vantage Hills and gives better T1 Vantage into T3 Longbowmen odds, which is really how I want to see it.

One way you could take this deck is 4x Border Militia, keep the Bannermen, and go harder into hopefully drawing King. Play a little mini-swarm with all the Earth sites and foot soldiers. Unfortunately with Zach playing so much fire 24/7, that's just not an effective strategy against Deserts, Imps, Kobolds, etc that do not have to waste time attacking through them.

--Week 4--

DOES IT EVEN MATTER I'M GETTING WRECKED!

Ok lessons learned. Geomancer wants all Earth sites. Waveshaper wants all Water sites. Pirate Ship is...well it's a bit limited I'd say.

We must construct Deathspeaker or Sparkmage. I actually have enough Blinks to make Sparkmage good. But I also have Vile Imp. Deathspeaker it is.

--Week 5--

Alright David, Deathspeaker it is.

I've got Imps, Bane Widow, Death Dealer, Clamor, and the wizards for draw. Have Geistwood for insane value off of the previously mentioned cards. Nimbus Djinn comes in for the insta-dd combo with Summoning Sphere/Evil Presence. The latter also pushes value on Shade and Headless Haunt. Kythera because I can't help it, paired with Lightning Bolts, Thunderstorm, Haunts, and of course Djinn. Then Grapples, Blinks, and board resets ala Poison Nova and Whirling. Good minions fill in the rest.

Gameplan is to grind out advantage over time through multi-casting imps along with deserts, bolts, Also Bane Widow off of Summoning Sphere, we love it. Have recovery options if I get behind. I should be able to get card advantage heavy over time. I just want to control the board, play late game, and then either overwhelm with solid units or do djinn combo.

If I lose again I'm going to go home.
