General Strategy

My main idea with this deck is to take advantage as often as possible of Deathspeaker abilities by having plenty of access to Genesis minions, with Dragons as the big threats to play and win the game. I also leverage new sites from Gothic to fill my cemetery, providing me with earlier access to some effects as I go through my deck faster this way. I will go into further detail on my choices on the sections below.

Artifacts

My artifacts will perform one of two roles:

Mana acceleration - either give me more mana or reduce costs so I can play my threats earlier and use my Avatar effect more often. My choices here are more restricted to what cards I actually have as there are many other options here such as Ruby Core.
Collection access - Toolbox provides great flexibility and frees up slots for more specific counter-plays. I'm still learning the game and matchups so it's likely that the collection will change often

Collection

I tried to keep my collection varied to be able to respond to many situations (note that it's all Ordinary cards so I can fetch it all with Toolbox). Molter Maar can also summon Hellhounds from my collection (which is why I have 2 in there). Some general themes I go for:

Removal - Hamlet's Ablaze!, Disenchant, Gift of the Serpent, Unravel, Angry Mob, Murder of Crows, Zap!
Minions - Hellhounds
Ramp - Landmass

This area of the deck is still highly experimental and I think I will change it often as I learn the game more.

Sites

For sites there's a big concern on making sure we hit our thresholds early as this is a 3-element deck:

Dual/Tri Sites: Critical to make sure thresholds are met early game to cast our Genesis minions and build up our strategy from there.
Fire Sites: Accursed Desert for some Ward hate (haven't seen many Ward decks yet thouth), Molten Maar to cast a Hellhound which can help on many matchups
Earth Sites: Cemetery fillers - Shallow Grave puts 2 cards in the cemetery, Forgotten Tomb let's us pick a Minion to discard. The idea is to help fuel potential plays with the Avatar ability plus other cemetery recovery effects we have in the deck.
Air Sites: Observatory for improving our draws (+ Synergy with Cradle of Etherrum), Towers for more mana generation
Boneyard: Interesting site which can bring up strong minions from the cemetery for free (especially if we see a Dragon early on), against some decks this is dangerous since the opponent also gets a minion
Orpheus Crossing: I love the idea of risk/reward here as we can with this site get a minion for free + use our Avatar ability for free this turn, which can create huge tempo swings. Of course being on Death's Door is something that you need to be careful about, but I love the idea of this site and it matches the strategy of the deck.
Dragonlord's Lair: Awesome synergy with Dragons. This + Philosopher's Stone can make some BIG early Dragon plays happen.

Apart from the Dual/Tri Sites I believe there's a ton of ways to go with Site choice. Right now I'm really trying to go with the "let's play stuff from the Cemetery" strategy, it's been really fun!

Magic

With toolbox being in the deck, I tried to keep more straightforward and generic Magics in the deck:

Draw support: Browse, Blink (+Movement utility), Pact with the Devil
Removal/Control: Dispel, Bury, Trial by Fire, Infiltrate, Poison Nova
Cemetery: Rescue
Utility/tech: Lash

Poison Nova is critical for survivability against more aggressive and minion-spamming decks. One thing to note is that I am trying to keep a high volume of Ordinary magic available as one of my minions will be able to cast those from the Cemetery, so I end up getting more value from that, even if sometimes there are options on different rarities (or maybe I just don't have the good stuff yet!).

Rescue is a great tool to retrieve minions and get even more value from them, mainly Dragons. Not every deck has a clean answer and often spends a large amount of resources to remove a Dragon, when you Rescue + replay that Dragon, it might be a game-winning play. And since I rely on big Dragons to carry me through the game, I thought a single copy of Lash might be an interesting Tech choice.

Minions

There are basically two types of Minions I play here - Genesis/Utility minions and Dragons.

Genesis

Cemetery Rats - More fuel for the cemetery
Land Surveyor - One of the best Genesis effects, let's us keep drawing spells early game and find our threats faster
Sisters of Avalon - Hand cycle has some good synergy with our plan to fill the cemetery
Skeleton Mage - Casts ordinary Magic from the Cemetery, this adds a great layer of flexibility to the deck
Vile Imp - Good early game removal tool and game finisher too if site placement is favorable
Virgin in Prayer - Warding allies to help get some more value of our minions + protects Dragons from damage-based removal
Apprentice Wizard - Card draw is great
Bane Widow - Tech removal
Clamor of Harpies - Airborne, removes something small when it enters, great to deal with some pesky 1 power Lethal enemies.
Gargantula - Good removal/control for the board
Grandmaster Wizard - Draw support, great card

Dragons

Colicky Dragonettes - Great early game, projectiles are also a nice way of finishing off some games
East-West Dragon - Solid mid-game Dragon, great mobility
Adtonitum - Strong removal + mobility
Ancient Dragon - Strong multi-target removal
Draco Corvus - Stealth + Burrow removal

There's a lot of room for experimentation here, I'm actively testing new ideas and checking what works best. I am sure there are a ton of high-end uniques which would boost this even further, but this deck so far has performed well at locals play. And it's been a great journey for me to dive deeper into deckbuild for the game!
