About the deck

This deck started as a site destruction build, to abuse of Pathfinder's ability. Given the power that Fire and Earth combination offers in terms of removal and solid combat minions. So I pivoted toward a midrange path focused on draw quality. Since, Pathfinder fixes the biggest weakness of this elemental combination with its no card advantage.

Key Cards / Mulligan

Ideally, you are always looking for these cards in your opening hand:

Root Spider
Magellan Globe
War Horse
All Artifacts
3 drops units

Small variations will depend on the matchup:

Vs. Aggro: Prioritize Root Spider and removals.
Vs. Control: Prioritize Magellan Globe and War Horse.
Vs. Midrange: Focus on 3 drop units.

Great tip

Balancing the Hand: Artifacts are vital because they don't require thresholds, ensuring you have plays in the early game. It is crucial to balance your hand in mulligan with Earth and Fire creatures to guarantee early-game presence and avoid being overwhelmed by the opponent.

Pathfinder Movement

This subject is a topic in its own right; often, your positioning with it will be more important than any card you draw. When playing Pathfinder, I always try to dominate and "Strangle" the opponent's sites space. The goal is to limit the sites they can reach while you maximize your own available mana, while you always draw spells in your spellbook.

What usually makes this possible are cards like War Horse, Siege Giant, and Magellan Globe:

War Horse: Helps you invade the most advantageous site lines and "strangle" one side of the board.
Siege Giant: Much like the War Horse, it pushes us one step ahead, allowing us to reach a void that we normally couldn't reach through standard means.
Magellan globe: This is the best card in the Deck together with flame of the first ones, but I must also warn you about the risks of Magellan Globe. While it almost always ensures we have access to sites and enables some truly broken plays, but the same applies to your opponent. If you play it too early or without the board presence to compete for those sites your opponent can easily escape the "stranglehold" you've worked to create. Another tip is always play globe in 6 or 10 space in the playmatch, to decrease the risk to lose this in dispel/disenchant spells.

Weaknesses

Threshold Issues: The deck runs two elements. Depending on how your sites are played, you might go the first few turns without playing a single card. In the mid/late game, high-threshold cards can get stuck in your hand.
When you run the game for too long without making good trades, in the mid/early game you'll lose gas, fall behind in card advantage, and risk having your avatar poorly positioned and exposed to your opponent.

Collection Guide

Penitent knight and Hellhounds are just tokens from the sites Forlorn Keep and Molten Maar respectively.
Angry mob, Flayer and vile imp are removal with body, to make 2 from 1, Flayer could also remove ward and interact with stealth units.
Dispel and Bury are classic removal to artifacts, auras and annoying minions.
Firebolts occupying the Zap Slot, for finished the game in DD situation, otherwise a maybeboard heat ray in this slot, not sure which is better.
Hamlet's ablaze, is the last site destruction I run in the Deck, for tempo plays or to rumble thin ice, troll bridge of water meta decks.
Makeshift barricade is DD "ward" effect to survive more turns.
