MYAH! Hello! It is I! Alino!

Mephistopheles is my favorite card, and Air is my favorite element, so this deck was created because of my desire to make a Mono-Air deck that uses Mephistopheles effectively.

With that said, let me go over the list!

The Avatar

Version One of this deck was initially designed this deck without an Avatar in mind. I planned to use whichever Avatar fit the deck best, and was going to use a generically good one like Sorcerer or Savior if none came to mind. But fortunately one did.

Necromancer ended up being the perfect fit for this deck. His ability to generate 1/1 Skeletons is great for smoothing out our curve. It's a bonus that the tokens are Undead/Evil, since the deck has many payoffs for both taglines.

The Spellbook

Auras

1x Eclipse - Serves as an anthem for most of our minions AND acts as a Summoning Sphere.

2x Sphere of Animosity - Shuts down healing entirely for the Avatar inside. Also great for shutting down Avatars like Realm Eater and Battlemage.

1x The Black Plague - This is good removal & area denial. Synergizes well with Necromancer, since we can send tokens in to die for the cause to keep the plague going if need be.

Artifacts

1x Amethyst Core - I just think it's neat. And we have a lot of top end, which this helps get out.

2x Mix Aer - I like this a lot. It can be really nice to open with this since it gives us the mana to do something like a turn 2 Daperyll Vampire.

2x Torshammar Trinket - A repeatable method of buffing our goobers is nice. It's doubly nice in a Necromancer deck, since we pop out Skeletons like a pez dispenser.

1x Pnakotic Manuscript - Repeatable card draw that is super cheap. We make a lot of expendable bodies for this.

2x Toolbox - Just an amazing staple. Lets us grab a variety of answers from the Collection.

1x Char Omphalos - Fantastic card advantage engine.

1x Dank Omphalos - Fantastic card advantage engine.

Minions

4x Pith Imp - Low-cost Evil disruption. Can ruin an opponent's entire game if it hits something juicy.

2x Earl of the Ivory Towers - Solid low-cost Spellcaster who happens to be Evil.

3x Gibbous Nightgaunts - A 3 Power Demon with Airborne and Voidwalk is just a nice statblock for this list.

1x Jack the Ripper - Extremely good removal.

4x Screamer - Really useful ability. Good for aggro and defense.

2x Sturmgeist - Amazing. Able to deal tons of damage if left unanswered.

3x Stygian Archers - Amazing. Great Ranged minion with a strong ability.

1x Bane of Aventis - Fantastic answer to Ward.

1x Archangel Gabriel - Strong minion that replaces itself.

3x Daperyll Vampire - Staple. Able to heal you for tons, and is a great body.

2x Legion of Gall - Absolutely shreds your opponent's Collection.

2x Renatus Trueblood - Two extra copies of Daperyll Vampire is nice.

2x Grandmaster Wizard - Refills your hand. Never unhappy to see it.

1x Mephistopheles - I just think he's neat.

1x Nosferatu - Absolutely annoying for an opponent to permanently get rid of.

1x Draconian Bonekite - Massive Airborne goober. Ability is great for closing out games.

1x The Doom of Dilmun - This card is phenomenal. The fact we can get it out for free with Mephistopheles is nuts, but this card is fantastic even if we're hard-casting it. Near impossible for an opponent to remove.

Magic

1x Browse - This is just a staple in every mono-air deck. It's such a good way of finding whatever it is we need at any given time.

2x Blink - Solid movement card that replaces itself.

3x Desecrate - Letting something like your Daperyll Vampire or Legion of Gall get a second strike in can be game-winning. Also great for answering any super pesky sites.

3x Kiss of Death - Over half our goofballs can cast. We even make tokens that can cast this. And this happens to be fantastic removal.

1x Black Mass - Great way of refilling the hand.

2x Whirling Blades - This card is devastating. Functions like a one-sided board wipe a lot of the time.

The Atlas

Sites

1x Cloud City - Amazing ability.

1x Dark Tower - Temporary ramp is good.

1x Defiler Spire - Nice card to play when we're on the offensive since it can drain health fast.

4x Den of Evil - This is like 4 extra copies of the Towers in our deck.

3x Fields of Phyxis - This + Desecrate gives us plenty of ways of dealing with annoying sites. Also, being blunt, I got the Dust Promo for this and wanted to use it.

2x Forsaken Crypt - I like being able to generate a body without spending a card to do so. I only run 2 of these so that I can have more flexibility in the Collection.

1x Gothic Tower - Temporary ramp is good.

1x Lone Tower - Temporary ramp is good.

1x Merlin's Tower - Temporary super-ramp is great.

2x Observatory - Topdeck manipulation is good.

4x Open Mausoleum - Extra bodies without spending cards to make them is great. Playing this turn 2 is nice with Necromancer since we can turn 1 make a token into turn 2 two more tokens.

2x Sold-out Cemetery - We have a lot of Undead, as well as the ability to pump out Undead tokens. This is nice free-movement with them.

1x The Manor at Daperyll Hill - Very nice defensive card.

2x Watchtower - Completely shutting down Stealth is great.

2x Wizard's Den - I don't care about the downside. Card draw is card draw.

2x Wuthering Heights - Great card. Using this to move an enemy onto Bottomless Pit is hilarious.

The Collection

Cards

3x Desecrated Ground - Needed for Desecrate.

1x Zap! - 3 mana to kill an Avatar on Death's Door is amazing.

1x Disenchant - 4 mana to blow up, ideally, 2+ things is amazing.

1x Tactical Move - The ability to reposition our entire board for 4 mana can come in handy in a pinch.

2x Ghoul - Needed for Forsaken Crypt.

1x Grapple Shot - Nice bit of positioning and removal when needed. Also just a great card.

1x Murder of Crows - Mass Ward removal or token removal is great.

Additional Comments

Play Style wise, this deck goes for the long game. We aim to outvalue the opponent over the course of the game. Cards like Mephistopheles, Char Omphalos, and Dank Omphalos are great when out because they generate so much value.
