Deck objective: Control the board via minions + removal magic + powerful "hate" sites

Win condition: Attack with [[Persecutor]] + occasional minion or magic damage

Will be updating Matchups as I get more experience with certain Avatars:

"Favorable" Matchups

Non-water decks - [[Earthquake]] and [[Cave-In]] are online

[[Avatar of Air]] - You can remove all of their minions before they get use out of them

[[Necromancer]] - [[Skeleton]]s and other Evil minions give you free movement all game

[[Geomancer]] - Can remove all minions and stand on top of them when they want to [[Craterize]]

[[Bladedancer]] - Can bury their equipment; You will most likely be on their side of the board and that will not allow them to get the second attack most of the time

"Even" Matchups

[[Sorcerer]] - Steam specifically is tough because of the damage and Ward minions; usually able to 2 or 3 for 1 enough times to mitigate their card advantage; [[Garden of Eden]]

[[Pathfinder]] - Mono-fire list can sometimes be too fast and too consistent

"Hard' Matchups

[[Battlemage]] - 3 power unkillable Avatar can lead to some dead draws if you only have removal

[[Archimago]] - Need [[Kor Crematory]] or [[Garden of Eden]] to stand a chance

[[Sparkmage]] - Can deal damage to your Avatar much faster than you can deal to them because of their tap ability

Artifacts

[[Crucifix]]: Able to bounce Evil minions (or minions you brand as Evil); [[Lord of Lies]] can't be summoned on top of you; can also brand an enemy Evil so they can't move and defend against an attack

[[Devil's Egg]]: Speeds up the game

[[Peacemaker Arbalest]]: Excellent for killing minions or doing damage to the enemy Avatar (ranged helps preserve life points)

[[Love Potion]]: "Poor man's [[Mesmerism]]"; [[Persecutor]] step ability allows you to freely move into a site and steal something strong

Minions

[[Arjaro Exorcist]]: Ability to banish Auras and Spirits is huge since Spirits aren't Evil; also helps cast magics

[[Kettletop Leprechaun]]: One of the best Earth minions in the game; allows you to draw spells and not sites

[[Vile Imp]]: Death's Door finisher; Evil minion to help [[Persecutor]] take a step; helps against aggressive decks

[[Colicky Dragonettes]]: Death's Door finisher; able to ping minions/tokens or the enemy Avatar

[[Morgana le Fay]]: Good card but not super necessary in the deck since we usually only cast 1 card a turn (sometimes 2)

[[Quarrelsome Kobolds]]: Death's Door finisher; able to help against aggressive decks; can do 4 damage on turn 4 if not removed

[[Root Spider]]: Disable good; helps move [[Devil's Egg]] under opponent's site

[[Hillock Basilisk]]: Ward remover; able to control the site it is on and the one in front of it; can attack the minion it is disabling

[[Hotwheel]]: Death's Door finisher; Evil minion

[[Asmodeus]]: Able to deal with any minions that are in my backline; Evil minion

[[Balor of the Evil Eye]]: Death's Door finisher; Evil minion; Damage is relevant to remove tokens or Wards

[[Infernal Legion]]: Death's Door finisher; Evil minion; Can potentially clear stealth minions

Magics

[[Immolation]]: 1 mana removal

[[Firebolts]]: Removal or damage to race

[[Begone!]]: Best removal in the game

[[Deliverance]]: Can be one sided board wipe; [[Persecutor]] can brand an enemy minion as Evil so it can be banished

[[Disintegrate]]: More removal

[[Cave-In]]: For grouped up minion on land sites; Can bury Devil's Egg so it is harder to get rid of

[[Firebreathing]]: Can damage minions and the enemy Avatar at the same time; can be cast by [[Hillock Basilisk]], [[Root Spider]], and [[Colicky Dragonettes]]

[[Earthquake]]: Potential board wipe; Site manipulation

[[Lava Flow]]: Devastating amount of damage to the enemy Avatar and can remove minions on the surface and subsurface

[[Poison Nova]]: Often times a board wipe given [[Persecutor]]'s mobility

[[Powerwish]]: Fun card that can clear the board of all minions even if Warded

Sites

Deserts: 1 damage for Wards or for damage math

[[Boulevard of Bones]]: Creates [[Skeleton]]s so [[Persecutor]] can take a step

[[Bureau of Occult Control]]: Hate site to slow down [[Imposter]], [[Archimago]], etc. and anyone using Collection access cards

[[City of Traitors]]: Helps get you to 5 mana faster; can put a [[Root Spider]] under

[[Fields of Camlann]]: Brings enemy minions down to 1 usually so my [[Begone]] or [[Disintegrate]] clears the board

[[Forge]]: Good on turn 1; can help with some attacks

[[Funeral Pyre]]: More cemetery hate

[[Garden of Eden]]: Helps against [[Battlemage]], [[Archimago]], and [[Sorcerer]]

[[Glastonbury Tor]]: Threshold

[[Kor Crematory]]: Shuts off [[Archimago]] and [[Deathspeaker]]

[[Molten Maar]]: 1 of for the occasional movement or when I don't have anything else to do on turn 3

[[Open Grave]]: [[Skeleton]] for movement

[[Pillar of Zeiros]]: More cemetery hate and potential healing

[[River of Blood]]: Gaining life is cheating

[[Steppe]]: Threshold

[[Carrion Beetles]]: Cemetery hate

[[Dispel]]: Gets rid of problem artifacts and auras

[[Vandal Imp]]: Good when there is only 1 artifact on the board; Evil minion

[[Boil]]: Removal against water decks

[[Bury]]: Removal against minions on landsites or to bury artifacts

[[Flame Strike]]: Death's Door finisher; hits [[Imposter]] when they put on [[Pathfinder]] mask

[[Hellhounds]]: For the 1 of [[Molten Maar]]

[[Minor Explosion]]: Death's Door finisher

[[Angry Mob]]: Removes problem Elite and Unique minions

[[Smite]]: Can do damage or banish in conjunction with [[Persecutor]] branding ability
