Deck Concept: Inspired by the setting of Gothic, I wanted to make the [[Savior]] leading a band of brave mortals and angels, with just a few hints of darker powers in the wings they're turning to for support ( [[ominous owl]], [[mordric druids]], [[pith imp]]). Mechanically, this deck wants to use wards, combat trick magic, and the natural efficiency of (E) mortal cards to grind your opponents into the dirt by making most trades favorable to you.

Strategy: [[Savior]]'s ability is really obviously really good - warding most of your minions should make trading blows with you pretty painful for the opponent without costing you extra cards. What it does cost you is a bit of tempo, because you're incentivized to play behind the mana curve, so you'll usually be a bit weak in the early game before you can afford to ward your (3) (4) (5) drops. Consequently you usually won't be playing aggressively the first 3-4 turns unless your opponent hasn't been able to get anything good on the board. A trick that can help buy you some time without sacrificing Life is that the you're allowed to ward the tokens/cards you get from e.g. [[common village]] or [[troubled town]] - This can absorb a couple hits without costing you any cards, which can be a really great way to stall past the early turns without expending resources.
