This deck was initially built as just a theme of a kingdoms army expanding onto anothers borders, foot soldiers supported by detachments of archers and such slowly becoming an overwhelming force that has to much to effectively defend against. It was my first deck, made of bulk that i have refined. Its incredibly fun to play from a flavour perspective and every game played becomes very unique because of how opponants have to adjust their own strategys to it. The boarders will never be neat and even, the millitia always armed and ready for constant warfare on every site!

'Border Millitia' is the primary card the deck is focused around, an incredibly versatile card that only gets more cost effective as the game goes on. Creating foot soldiers early for chip damage and pressure while late game creating easily 6+ foot soldiers if you expand your sites aggresively into their board. It is searchable by common sense so functionally 8 effective copies are in your deck.

Foot soldiers as a token unit are insanely valuable. They cost only 1 mana from the villages to make and border millitia making many more. The deck is the foot soldiers, other minions you play act just as much as distractions from your foot soldiers constant chip damage. Foot soldiers also provide incredible levels of defense against aggresive decks. From weak chargers trading favourably or the many randomised air spells missing better targets because of foot soldiers taking the shots for their betters!

Guards from arthurian legends is also a very strong 9 foot soldier generater. The village lands also provide to this. With constant token creation the other cards and minions within the deck are able to take the place of versiility. Archers to deal with airborne, site rampers like settlers, kettle and surveyour allow you to keep a constant advance of sites to make border millitia plus further. Albespine pikemen is probably outclassed by some better cards but is a very strong threat early game that i personally like for the flavour. Bannermen and the king of the realm are the game ending cards. 3 foot soldiers now do 6 damage to life or sure up defenses.

The magics are quite simple to understand, removal of problem enemy minions and tutors for the cards needed at the moment

Now lets specify why druid is the avatar. Druid making a 1 power flier is insanely valuable for extra early damage. Turn 1 can commonly be village into foot soldier and tawny meaning turn 3 is 2 damage to the opponants health or killing a 2 power on a boarderd site at no cost of a card in hand! Constant site placing means throwing tawny as trade for weak minions is an incredibly good transaction. In a deck filled with tokens on most sites druids flipped side aura of 1 damage for opponants moving means the 1 power foot soldiers trade for 2 power on the defensive. Bruin is tough 4 power defender that lets you push that punishing aura effect forward without fear.

This deck rewards very aggresive expansion, your footmen poke and defend as required and as a deck without inherent card advantage you will still be trading very well for each card you do play. Take parts of the void and make sure you maximise every use of border millitia. Use the very board of sorcery as if your playing a wargame like diplomacy, make use of every inch for every incremental advantage you can get!
